Spring Snowfall Sweater Knitting Pattern
Spring Snowfall is a modern cabled sweater that’s perfect for cooler weather. There are options for two body lengths, nine chest sizes and extra details like short rows in the yoke for a perfect fit. I love the way these narrow cables with twisted stitches look against a background of reverse stocking stitch. This is definitely a sweater that will look great with any yarn. We couldn’t decide on just one colour, so went with the gorgeous Winter Fade DK set from Black Elephant Yarns. I’ve included instructions for colour changes based on a five colour fade, but this would look fantastic in a single colour too.
We work from the top down using a yoked construction. The cabled patterns have increases built in which are worked down to the underarm. Short rows are worked at the lower back yoke for an improved fit and extra stitches are cast on at the underarm. We work body stitches down to the hem with options for different body lengths, then work sleeve stitches down to the cuff.
